Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Megan and I am an avid coffee-drinker, lover of face masks, Chipotle, and HGTV. I’ve played soccer competitively for 16 years at the recreational, club, olympic, semi-pro, and D-1 collegiate levels. Soccer has played a vital role in my development as a person and hopefully as an occupational therapist. I am the daughter of two amazingly supportive parents and a sister to one awesome older brother. I’ve lived in Alabama for the last 19 years but I try to travel as much as I can. Playing soccer has given me the opportunity to travel all throughout the U.S. and even to countries like Germany, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. My mother is 100% Japanese so I’ve had the privilege of visiting her family in Okinawa, as well. I believe seeing new places and cultures is so powerful in growth and traveling is something I would like to continue doing throughout my life.

I received my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2016. I will be starting the master’s in occupational therapy program at UAB in the Fall of 2017. I created this site in hopes that it can be a form of guidance for anyone interested in this field, in the application process, or currently in OT school. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you have during my OT journey!

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
